It has been known for many years that batteries installed into fire panels shall have a label attached to indicate the installation date.
This is because batteries should have a working life of approximately 4 years according to national standards and the labels give warning to technicians that battery replacement is imminent.
The FSIB issued a note to all contractors that we have added this to our inspection sheets for 2017.
